I've spent the last decade working for several big corporations, using most of my time at becoming really good at creating products. One of the things I've been missing is a really good system that allows me to navigate the collective knowledge of the entire organization. And I'm not talking about confluence pages, word documents or power point presentations that Microsoft co-pilot has indexed so you can "chat-gpt" it.

I'm talking about the knowledge stuck inside my coworkers mind. The hidden knowledge. The stuff you learn about by the coffee machine or after a few beers at the monthly after-work.

Like who's into AI, tennis, functional programming, cross country skiing, the Roman empire or gaming.

Or that someone talked to someone at the last after-work and learned that they wanted to work in another role or department but that their closest leader hadn't done anything about it due to being overworked and now that certain someone was considering quitting.

Or maybe you learn that Dwight in sales speak fluent German.

Or that Toby in HR has coded several apps in his spare time with AI and could help the organization's progress to get a more widespread adoption of AI.

These are things that might not get shared in an application or resume.

I've spent ten years running around, looking for answers to questions like who was responsible for implementing [insert name of any service]. I'm tired of having to go through four different people in four different departments to find the one in charge of implementing Elastic search. Or to find likeminded people also into learning more about agentic workflows. I'm tired of having to guess.

It's about time someone makes it easy to find people inside your company. To solve problems in minutes instead of days, weeks or even months. I started building Knowio with that in mind and it's been us ever since.
